You will be welcomed into your space, either in person or online. The counsellor will introduce the session and explain the contract to you. The counsellor may begin the session with "could you tell me about what prompted your referral" or "what brings you here today".


While this can vary, generally, we will work collaboratively to monitor how the sessions are going,  whether now is a good time to seek support and when it is time to end.


Sessions are 50 minutes long, unless otherwise agreed upon in the contract. Your counsellor may suggest weekly or bi-weekly sessions, but this can alter and change depending on a variety of factors. For instance, if you are a student and exams are upcoming, you may want to increase or reduce your sessions. 


Please visit the Services tab for more information on the cost of sessions. If you begin sessions and have concerns regarding payments, you can bring this to your counsellor, and together you can explore your options.
